Malia is predominately a lively resort where 'you name it, it has it'! It is a resort that has been well established over the past decade and has a lively atmosphere where people can party until the early hours down the road that leads to the beach. Or, you can just sit in a local taverna in the Old Town enjoying the local cuisine watching the world go by. The Old Town is full of taverna's and old village style houses which provide a relaxing holiday. It is a resort of two halves and has something for everyone.

The stretch of beach runs for over 5kms and is divided into six sections which are all lined with bars and restaurants. Glozanie Beach has a great choice of watersports and the Potomas Beach is popular with the locals.
Nearby Attractions
Malia's old town is a maze of cobbled streets and medieval churches which are perfect to wander around. However for those that wish to explore the nearby area, Heraklion is just a 45 minute drive away where there is a Venetian harbour, fortress and lighthouse to explore. Additionally visitors can take boat trips from the harbour to nearby resorts.
