Rethymnon, Crete, Greece
Rethymnon, the third largest town in Crete, is by far the place to go to experience the cultural influences which remain from the Venetians. There is plenty to see such as romantic tavernas, a good selection of cafes, ancient remains, Venetian architecture, churches and mosques. There is plenty to offer at night, all in all a great holiday destination for all.

Rethymnon
The 16th century Fortezza is one of Rethymnon's most distinctive features and, until this day, still dominates the skyline of this town. This is a resort built around a busy harbour but which also provides a traditional old town with narrow cobbled streets, beautiful architectural houses and an array of Turkish houses. Rethymnon is a town where the ancient blends with the modern to provide excellent cafes, fashionable shops and exceptional fish restaurants.

The old town of Rethymnon has a lot to offer from excellent restaurants to historic sights, plenty to see and do. The new part of town faces the beach and offers more basic restaurants and bars with good service and at a reasonable price.
