Fodele

Fodele village is positioned between Heraklion and Rethymnon and is a quiet and simple traditional resort where you will find ladies dressed in traditional black selling their hand embroidered wares. This village is immersed in a truly authentic Greek atmosphere and offers a choice of traditional tavernas and restaurants. The village is renown for being very green as it is built in an area of orange and lemon groves and its valley terrain makes it ideal for country walks. This resort is not for those seeking lively nightlife but instead wish to experience a peaceful village close to some historical sites.

Accommodation:Fodele Beach Hotel
Room:Family Room
Board:All Inclusive

Fodele is not really a resort. It is just a good hotel in a lovely location. There is a regular bus service to Heraklion, a large town. Alternatively you can walk a few km to the charming village of Fodele. For anything else, you would need to hire a car or join an organised trip. The beach is a bit rocky in places but perfectly adequate for a family holiday.
