The resort was a short walk into the village which suited us to be out of the main street. Plenty of tavernas, supermarkets and the bakery, butcher and fish shop suited our self catering needs perfectly. We felt safe and the beach was perfectly placed for the apartment block.

There is a curved bay offering a sand and shingle beach which is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. The beach is rarely crowded and is perfect for families seeking calmer waters. There is a "clothing optional" section of beach at the far end of the bay.
There are many historical sites and excursions across the surrounding areas which include the Knossos Palace which is 5km southeast of Heraklion, Chania with its Venetian harbour, lighthouse and fortress and the Samaria Gorges.
Both Chania Airport and Heraklion Airport are the same distance away.
Chania Airport is approximately 116 km away - transfer time about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Heraklion Airport is approximately 116 km away - transfer time about 1 hour 35 minutes away.
