Close to lots of lovely restaurants, a few steps away from the port. The bus station was a short walk and it was easy to visit other parts of the island. Would recommend Chania.

Delightful town. Very lively, friendly, with lots of historical and cultural interest. Huge selection of lovely tavernas bars and cafes. Lots of interesting shops. Everything within walking distance of the hotel. Good selection of reasonably priced car rental companies.

Nice beach. 2 beds/shade = 5euros. There were some really nice and unusual shops even well known names. Plenty of choice for bars and restaurants to watch the world go by. Lovely old buildings around the square and harbour areas. Excellent place for adults of all ages.

Lots to do, interesting buildings, so much history. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to try. We preferred the ones not on the harbour front. Bus station, excursions and boat trips. We booked our excursions through the hotel and they were good value, we used Exodus Travel and went to Knossos Palace and Heraklion and Elafonissi Island. Sightseeing bus was good too.

The old town is charming even though a little scuffy in places but surprisingly it adds to its charm, great choice of cafe/bars, restaurants and shops, friendly locals 9/10.

The old town was very scenic and full of excellent restaurants.

Accommodation:Casa Delfino Suites

The harbour is beautiful and there is always a buzzy atmosphere. Restaurants in the back streets tend to be much better than those on the waterfront and we had some great meals. Everyone we met was really friendly. Downsides were that the local beach wasn't very clean and the waiters from the harbour restaurants constantly trying to entice you in got a bit wearing. However, would definitely go again.

A good blend of small seaside resort and big city. We liked the bustle of the latter and the quaint alleys and nearby beaches etc of the former.

Busy place but lovely. Try and find a place to eat away from the waterfront as they rip you off with the food bill for what is very basic food. I found one down a side street that offered good wholesome cooking around 20 euros and for that you got wine, dips and main meal followed by some free Raki. You need to explore the island and a hire car is excellent for this.

There wasn't much in the resort of Agii Apostoli but it was only a short bus ride to Chania which is worth a visit.

Holiday Date:15th Jul 2017

There are lovely beaches, lots of good food restaurants, the only downside was attempting to cross the busy main road.

Daratso is a great place to stay with lots of local restuarants, beautiful beaches and good supermarkets. A short bus journey to main Chania.
