Beaches

There are a number of beaches in Manilva ranging from small rocky coves ideal for a tranquil day spent soaking up the sunshine to large wide sandy beaches. One of the most popular beach with tourists and locals is Sabinillas - Colonia. This beach has blue flag status for cleanliness and offers good facilities including lifeguards in the summer and has a number of cafes and restaurants behind the promenade.

Things to do

The fantastic climate makes sports activities a particular popular pastime. There are a number of excellent golf courses close by suitable for amateurs and pro golfers. Windsurfing, scuba diving and kite boarding are great fun and widely available. The area is surrounded by stunning countryside and there are many hiking trails to follow be it by foot or mountain bike.

Out and about

A wide variety of local and international cuisines are on offer in Manilva. For traditional and authentic Spanish cuisine head into the old part of the village where there are a number of restaurants and tapas bars. For more variety and international restaurants including Chinese, Mexican and Italian cuisines head along the promenade by Sabinillas beach for fine dining in a lovely beachfront setting. There are a number of bars in and around Manilva and offers a relaxed nightlife. For a livelier night Estepona is just 20 minutes away and has a number of nightclubs, bars and fun pubs.

Nearby attractions

A short drive along the coast is the town of Estepona. Families will love the Selwo Nature Park here which is based on an African Safari and has many fantastic animals and wonderful botanical gardens to explore. Visitors can take part in a number of excursions from Estepona including Dolphin watching trips, off road jeep safari's and boat tours.
