Calahonda has a lovely sandy beach with calm shallow waters ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are numerous cafes and restaurants close by, perfect for a spot of lunch and refreshments.
Things to do
One of the main attractions of Calahonda is the beach, however if you can tear yourself away there are various sports activities on offer such as tennis or golf.
A great way to see the resort is by the tourist train. The train runs on a loop and is an ideal way to get your bearings. The glorious weather make activities such as water sports, tennis, golf and horse riding popular past times.
Out and about
The resort has a diverse range of restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets, local traditional dishes as well as international cuisines are all widely available. The area known as 'The Strip' has many bars, cocktail bars and clubs offering a great party atmosphere.
The resort is conveniently situated for easy access to neighbouring resorts. The water park outside Fuengirola is the largest in the Costa del Sol and offers wave pools, water chutes and lots of fun for all the family.
