The apartment was in a great location. But be warned the steps are many and it is a step climb down to the resort. The only thing that let the apartments down was lack of communication. We were not told the restaurant was closed for the holidays and, in Gran Canaria that means the whole of May and most of June. Also on the Monday without warning they changed the days the rooms would not be cleaned from Saturday and Monday to Tuesday and Thursday and the shop changed its opening times. An information sheet would help on opening times of the pool bar, restaurant and shop.

The apartments were clean and spacious. It had all you needed, kettle, coffee maker, microwave. The balcony was very large with sun beds. The staff were friendly and the pool was warm.

The Montebello Apartments provide everything you need for a reasonably comfortable stay in Puerto Rico. The Reception staff are very helpful. The apartments are fairly basically furnished, but are nice enough. There are 9 floors, with the views from the terrace being better the higher up you go. The private terrace for each apartment is lovely, a good size with two sunbeds, which do come in handy as the pool area does get busy. The sunbathing area around the pool is not large for the number of apartments in the complex and there is a fairly widespread practice of hogging sunbeds with towels - a problem shared by many places unfortunately. The walk down into the commercial centre is quite easy if you go out of the bottom gate. There are two sets of steps that take you down to the bottom. However, the walk back is quite steep, particularly in the heat of the day. A taxi back costs about 3 Euros though. The shop in the hotel is only open from 9.00 - 12.00 in the morning but is good for essential items and the prices are not ridiculous. The menu in the pool bar is fairly basic but the food, (toasted sandwiches etc) is good for a lunch time snack.

Lovely clean basic apartments, everything you need; kettle, toaster, microwave, 2 sunbeds on balcony as well as table and 4 chairs. Great view over ocean from room. Would go again.

Staff great, apartment very well equipped and cleaned every single day, fresh towels too. Will definitely go back. Very clean and good facilities. Great for kids too, kids club fab. We had a fab holiday.

Staff really friendly, reception very helpful, very clean apartments and all around pool area. We have been to Puerto Rico 52 times now and I must say we were really happy with these apartments, we will be going again to Montebello, kids loved pool and we enjoyed happy hour. Studios a little too small, nowhere to sit except on bed. Very clean, excellent pool area and staff.

Everything was good. The staff were great and rooms were fine. And most of all we liked the pool area, the pool bar with superb food and the pool with warm water.
