We were in one of the apartments that had not been refurbished yet, although some areas in this were a bit tired looking the room was spotless. We stayed on an all inclusive basis so didn't use much of the facilities in the apartment, but the apartment is well equipped. The food was plentiful and was to a good standard and plenty of variety. Entertainment team were fabulous as always, with something different on each evening. Getting a lounger each morning wasn't a problem for us but I suppose as the hotel gets busier this may be an issue. The views from this hotel are stunning.

Great maid, came every day, very friendly. Very clean. Food was great with plenty of choice. Staff very friendly and entertainment was superb. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great time here, cleanliness very good. Plenty of loungers - people were stopped from putting towels on early, excellent idea. Only drawback was steps everywhere you went. Good size apartment, big balcony with table and chairs, loungers and parasol.

We stopped here last September/October room 13a bottom floor, very quiet, great view, excellent. Asked for ground floor this time June/July and was allocated room 126b overlooking pool with restricted view of the ocean and very noisy. Not happy at all, hence a very generous 3 stars!

Stayed many times. Relaxing if you want or join in with the games and entertainment. Fantastic views that's the best thing about this hotel. 2 lovely pools, some rooms are basic but clean with ample room for 2 people.

Wonderful location. Hotel good, clean, food ok. Though no air con in rooms, you have to pay for all TV channels, also no kettle is provided. You need to hire this along with other items that would normally be included in most hotels. Car parking difficult not many spaces, would be impossible in height of season. Staff ok, though not very friendly, they seem to find their work a bit of a chore. Also had major problem with small ants in apartment getting into all the food. Eventually had to resort to putting everything in the fridge. Would return to resort but not this hotel.

Lovely hotel with spectacular view from the balcony. I stayed here self catering but was told by other holiday makers that the food was lovely with lots of choice. I loved this hotel and would definitely recommend as long as you don't mind being on top of a hill.

The Altamar Aparthotel was really good, the food was great, plenty of choice's and always replenishing the food on the trays. The rooms were kept clean, towels and bedding changed regular and the views from veranda were stunning. The entertainment was entertaining and all staff very polite and helpful. Yes we would definitely go back to the Altamar, hopefully soon. p.s we went for the club room which was great, the big fridge, television, beds all in good condition.

It's a lovely place to stay. It's always clean, well maintained. Staff friendly and welcoming, even at 2 or 3 in the morning. We saw a whale whilst sitting on our balcony, and saw dolphins on a boat trip out the next day. It's wonderful.

Have been 5 times but this time was different. Only one toaster in the restaurant, could not get a sun lounger at the pool for 2 weeks and the queue for dinner 20 minutes sometimes. Everything else brilliant.

The Altamar was a great Aparthotel for us, we were lucky enough to get a brand new refurbished room for our two week stay. The hotel has two great pools and the food was brilliant, entertainment by Gazza and the team was class too, a truly fantastic holiday that I would recommend to anyone.

Electrical fault in room when we arrived. Room was not cleaned on arrival. Although had booked a club room we did not receive fresh towels every day as per club room. Had to phone during holiday for fresh towels, toilet roll. Bed only cleaned twice during holiday. Entertainment staff excellent.

Wonderful views, great choice for breakfast and there it stops. We were there a week, the beds were never changed, the room was only cleaned twice but ended up with 16 towels at the end of the week, we emptied our own bins and took empty water bottles to the bin, no air conditioning, didn't get to bed 'til 12ish most nights due to karaoke every night. Despite notes round the pool the towels on the sunbeds at 7 in the morning meant when you went to the pool after breakfast 9 o'clock ish no beds left; some mornings these beds were not taken 'til lunch time which made it difficult if children wanted to go in the pools parents were sitting on the floor.

Yet again, we really enjoyed our stay at the Altamar. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the only thing missing was a kettle. The maid service was excellent, and the staff friendly. My granddaughter spent all her time enjoying the pool which was well maintained and a good depth for both swimmers and non swimmers alike, once again a fab holiday!
