Lovely apartments very clean. Staff very friendly and good food and reasonably priced drinks. Location central to shops and bars. As others have stated shame no kettles, mugs or cereal bowls but we took our own. Also had to buy some microwave pans otherwise microwave a waste of time. Pool area clean with sunbeds tables and chairs. Sun not on the pool all day as disappears behind the building late afternoon. If you have a late departure there is a toilet and shower adjacent reception you can use and a lock up area for suitcases.

Adequate and convenient hotel with basic amenities. Although recently refurbished, the hotel still looks dated, especially the pool area. Having said that, the service from all the staff we saw was excellent. The hotel was clean and family friendly. We would definitely return.

For a 2 star hotel it is exceptionally clean and well run. The rooms were extremely clean and the apartments spacious, coming equipped with microwave, two electric rings, fridge freezer and ample cutlery. All balconies overlook the pool and the beautiful bouganvilla that the owners have grown around the terraces. There is a PC and printer should you need to print out boarding passes etc. The hotel is a 2/3 minute walk down to the bay and beach, with all the restaurants and bars right there. The number 21 bus from the airport stops at the top of the street and is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The team were extremely helpful and friendly and I would certainly highly recommend the Isla del Sol to anyone staying in Ca'n Pastilla.

This was our first visit and I hope it won't be the last. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and due to the fact it was late season and a room was available, we were given an upgrade. This was clearly explained at the time. The room was large with a balcony overlooking the pool. The kitchen was small but perfect for our needs with a large fridge, two rings on the hob and a combi microwave. The bathroom was a good size with a decent hairdryer and soap dispenser. The cleaning rota was posted in the lift and the room was kept nice and clean. There's a bar with access to the pool area and plenty of seating around the pool. The shaded patio area was lovely to sit in and we were surrounded by pots and pots of cacti. The lounge area had plenty of sofas, a TV and a computer with printer. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach on a quiet residential street. Overall, I would happily go back there.

Staff very helpful and friendly. We had two bathrooms in our one bedroom apartment. Could not swim as one of the pools was too shallow and the other was too deep for me as I'm not a strong swimmer.

After a long travel journey to the hotel I was given cardkey (by the night porter) for the room. After several trips up and down the stairs the night porter informed me there was a fault with the card and gave me a key. I went to reception to sort it out in the morning and was greeted by a very frosty and stern lady and as soon as I put the cardkey down on reception she said lock broken use key (no effort was made to apologize for the previous evenings arrivals hassle or the lock being broken). I was given a first floor room (even though I requested on the booking some six months earlier) and again I spoke to this lady to request higher room and was told sternly "no hotel is full" (again no effort to apologise) it was clear to me it was not full.
The hotel had switched off its air conditioning despite it being 30c plus daily; at first we was told by one member of staff it automatically comes on when outside temp reaches 25c. This made sleeping in the room a nightmare as I got little sleep and was severely bitten by mosquitoes nightly as I had to leave the doors and windows open every night to try to get cool, sleeping was limited due to outside noise and plane noise.
My dealings with the lady on reception was appalling due to her often stern aggressive and rude manner when answering my concerns sadly her dominance was so strong it ruined the good work and politeness of other staff. On a positive note the maids did a fantastic job of cleaning the room.
Would I stay here again? Never again the whole experience above made this a nightmare holiday which I have never experienced anything like before.

in 30 degree temps we were told that aircon was switched off and they would not turn it on, we were told it is cheap holiday and it is in our contract, Lady on reception is hostile person, I opened windows outside my apartment door for some air and she came up and slammed them shut, again the next day too. It was really hot in the room and the receptionist caused my wife and I stress and spoiled our holiday. Also the tiles by the pool were filthy around the steps were you enter, paint peeling off wall around pool, overgrown trees, the were 4 mini bits of graffiti in our apartment that had not been cleaned although clearly visible. it looked like it was the end of season and nobody cared about the poor holiday makers who came late in the year for a holiday! Thanks for spoiling my holiday. We now need another thanks to being stressed by the receptionist lady. We had been 3 times before but never again standards have slipped. If they want to penny pinch on the aircon at the risk of making customers ill then they do not care.
