With a landmark castle, the historic town of Capdepera is just 2 km inland; it's the largest fortress on the island which was built in the 14th century to protect the mainland from pirates. Another historic town nearby and one that also features a fortress is Arta, this charming town has narrow and winding streets, and the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador.
Font De Sa Cala makes a great base for a walking holiday with countless well posted trails to follow and discover hidden coves and stunning scenery, or even to wonder along the coastal road to neighbouring Cala Ratjada stopping off at one of its bars for refreshment.
