Not really my kind of thing but plenty of quieter places to go.

Holiday Date:22nd Sep 2017
Accommodation:Sol House The Studio - Adults Only
Room:Double Or Twin
Board:Bed & Breakfast
(3 suns)

Very lively, always something going on in Magaluf, not for people looking for a quiet holiday! Can be very noisy in the late evening especially near the strip, as people leaving bar restaurants etc. Beach is beautiful not much going on for children though.

Holiday Date:21st Sep 2017
Accommodation:BH Mallorca

Ok little bit annoying constantly being asked every 10 seconds to go in bars and people trying to sell you drugs.

Beaches

The 900m stretch of beach offers fine sand and clear waters with a stylish promenade running from one end of the beach to the other. There is a good selection of shops, bar and restaurants along the promenade which is ideal if you want to take a break from the sun. There are plenty of watersports available at the beach including pedal boats, banana boating, water skiing and jet skiing. The beach can become very busy and noisy, especially in the summer months.

The beaches in Palma Nova, which is within walking distance, may be more suitable for those with small children as there is not so much going on and it's a little quieter.

Things to Do

There is certainly no shortage of activities in Magaluf and with such a range available, there is something for everyone. The House of Katmandu is an upside-down house that offers a host of games, puzzles and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. During the summer months, visitors can try their hand at karting which is a great alternative to lazing about on the beach.

The family-friendly daytime show 'Pirates' is well worth a visit. The live entertainment show will see artists dancing and performing some spectacular acrobatic routines. If you prefer, you could visit the adults only version in the evening. For a more sophisticated night out why not visit the Gran Casino Theatre which offers a Vegas-style dinner and cabaret.

If you prefer to keep cool, why not visit the nearby waterparks, the Aquapark and the Western Water Park which is a great day out for any thrill seeker. Boat trips are also popular, especially the dolphin watching trip which can be taken from most of the beaches in the area and allows adults and children to get up close to the dolphins. The Nemo submarine is also great and gives you the chance to see the island's unique marine life whilst staying dry. The trip lasts for almost 2 hours and includes refreshments, fish-feeding, a dive show and nearly an hour underwater in the submarine.

Out and About

The streets around the resort are full of shops that are open late and sell a variety of goods such as jewellery, alcohol and clothing. If it's designer shops you are looking for then take a trip to Palma. There is also a flea market and Farmers market held in Palma and various other markets held in the surrounding resorts.

The restaurants cater largely for the tourist and you will find many fast-food outlets and bars serving traditional British food but you will also find some Italian, Chinese, Indian and even Spanish restaurants so you should find something that tickles your fancy. There is certainly no shortage of bars and clubs in Magaluf so if it's a quiet night you are after then you have come to the wrong place. The many clubs in Magaluf are host to many different artists performing throughout the summer months so you may have to plan your visit carefully. There are many fiestas held throughout the year, from special Easter ceremonies to Christmas events.

Nearby Attractions

There are plenty of other things to do in the area and a trip to Magaluf is not complete without visiting Palma, Majorca's capital. Palma is dominated by the beautiful Cathedral and the large, modern harbour. The Cathedral is as beautiful inside as it is outside and well worth a closer look. The little streets of Palma are full of shops, bars and cafes so there is plenty to see with many opportunities for a little refreshment on the way. The best way to see Palma is probably to take a trip on the open top bus.

Right next to Magaluf is Palma Nova which offers three 18 hole mini golf courses and there is a full size 18 hole golf course in Portal Nous. Marineland is close by in Costa d'en Blanes and great for all the family. So whatever you enjoy doing, you will find it in or around Magaluf.
