The Hipotel Hipocampo Palace Hotel is an spectacular 5 star hotel surrounded by beautiful stretches of gardens, located in the nice town of Cala Millor in Majorca. The hotel has 203 rooms distributed in two buildings of four and five stories, besides and endless array of excellent quality services that provide you with a great holiday.


Location


The hotel is located approx 150 metres from the beach and well within walking distance of many shops, bars and restaurants. Palma Majorca Airport is approx 70 km from the resort of Cala Millor.


Facilities


Hipocampo Palace Hotel is distributed across two buildings that connect via a covered passageway and offers guests a swimming pool, 6 tennis courts, heated indoor swimming pool (towels offered with deposit), gymnasium, sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi. For children there is a children's playground. The hotel offers animation programmes and shows. Golf enthusiasts have one of the islands finest courses just a few kilometres away from the hotel.


Other services include 24 hour reception, conference rooms, safety deposit box rental, currency exchange facilities, hairdressers, games room, TV room, internet access, room service, laundry facilities, medical assistance and parking.


Guests will not be disappointed and those with delicate palates will be delighted by the gastronomic services available within the hotels two restaurants. Guests can enjoy home cooked local, regional and international dishes in the A la Carte restaurant Sa Maniga (14 April to 31 October). Please note that a dress code operates in the evenings and men should wear trousers for evening dinner.

Please note; A new Eco-Tax has been approved in the Balearic Islands. This Eco Tax will apply for stays from the 01.07.2016 (tax also payable for stays that include this date). This tax is payable directly to the accommodation, this includes hotels, apartments, villas, hostals, B&B's and cruise ships. The amount payable is between 0.5 euro and 2 Euro per person per night depending on the category of the establishment and the season.

As important as it is to have fun whilst on your holiday, it’s much more important to make sure you stay safe and follow the rules set out in your chosen destination during your time there. From April 1st there will be some changes on drinking and eating on the picturesque island of Majorca, and if you’re found eating or drinking on the streets of certain areas of Palma you’ll face a fine of up to €3,000. This new law only applies to certain areas of the island’s capital including the centre, Cala Major, Paseo Maritimo and all of Playa de Palma. The fine also applies to bars so they can no longer promote happy hours or show alcohol displays. Local police will be focusing their attention on these popular tourist areas to control drinking and antisocial behaviour in a bid to reduce the strains on A&E departments. You’ll still be able to enjoy the delicious food and drink on the island, but you’ll need to make sure you keep inside bars, restaurants and clubs when doing so. A lot of popular bars will have barriers to stop partygoers from taking drinks out onto the streets which, as an added benefit will prevent illegal sellers and pickpockets getting in.
