Great location even if it's a bit of a hike down the hill but a taxi is only €3 so no complaints. Very clean rooms and found the staff to be very pleasant. Food not the best but it's so cheap to eat and drink out I would recommend going self catering and not all inclusive.

Staff are wonderful and so helpful with any queries, the hotel itself is kept immaculate and the food was very good with plenty of choice and always fresh and hot. Small pool is my fave as it's mostly adults and Jonjo behind the bar is a top fella! I would definitely return, all in all a top holiday.

What a wonderful resort! Myself and 3 other men stayed at the Colima Mar. This is actually our second visit to the complex. We were there the same dates last year. The food is great with loads of variety. The serving staff are very polite and can't do enough for you and they're not just doing it to get a tip. It's as though they really want you to enjoy your time with them. So because of that I did give them a tip right at the end of the holiday and they didn't even want to take it!

Elle the barmaid is an absolute laugh! We met her last year and I don't know if it was because all of us were at the bar most of the afternoon making most of the complex laugh that she remembered us but she has a wonderful personality and is very good at her job. In the evenings the disco bar opens at 18:00 which is the time the pool bar shuts for half an hour to set up for the evening meal. Normally they have some sort of a theme night and I must say their chef is excellent! The meats he cooks are just so tender and even the ribs on Chinese night just literally fall off the bone! In the disco bar you will mainly be served by Oscar or Michelle. Both are very nice people and as the same as all of the staff in the resort a great laugh and can never do enough for you.

As I said this is our 2 year running and is a front runner for being a third year.

Lovely apartments, room cleaned everyday. The pools were spotless and the view is amazing out over the sea. The Colina Mar is five minutes walk from the Europa centre where there's plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.

We stayed at Colina Mar Apartments for ten days from 16th August 2017, self catering. We stayed in room 427 which had an excellent view of the beach and of Puerto Rico below as Colina Mar is situated quite high up in the hillside.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the self catering facilities were great and the shower was very powerful and the water was hot no matter what time of the day! The only issue was there was no air conditioning and it was quite warm of a night. A fan was provided in the living room which converts to a bedroom of an evening however it would have been better if there was another fan in the actual bedroom, as it was quite noisy of a night having to leave windows open.

In our opinion there was not enough sun loungers and parasols for the amount of guests staying at the apartments and you had to rise very early in the morning to reserve a lounger if you were planning a day by the pool (although there were signs advising not to do this) there was no other way. The pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm prompt, the sun loungers are stacked and put away regardless of whether you would like to sit by the pool for longer.

The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and approachable and the cleaning staff were excellent.

The apartments are a short distance away from the Europa Shopping Centre were there are a variety of restaurants, bars and supermarkets to visit.

We walked to the beach which took around 30 minutes and was quite steep to walk down, there is a taxi rank at the Europa if you were not able to walk and costs around 4 euros to get there.

We would stay here again.

Loved staying here. The apartment was immaculate and a good size. We went self catering, which I would do again as I'm not an all inclusive fan. The complex was immaculate and pools were both good sizes and well maintained. The position was good although wouldn't recommend it if you have any issues with walking as it's 700+ steps down to the main resort and beach.

I came to Puerto Rico 4 years ago and stayed at the Marina Suites which is 4 star, as lovely as it was, my children preferred the Colina Mar so we will be booking again to return next year. The staff are friendly and helpful, we heard no swearing or experienced any aggression from other people staying there and more importantly it felt safe enough for the children to go off and make friends without us being with them all the time (10 and 12 year olds). We would all definitely recommend the apartments to anyone who was considering coming here.

Excellent value for money. Could tell the apartments had recently been renovated. Views from balcony amazing. Plenty of food to choose from always a fish and meat option. Could of done with more staff to clear tables and often ran out of plates so had to wait for staff to go fill them up. Bar staff great, especially in the main bar on a night. Should make the smaller pool an adults only pool.

We loved every minute of it. The rooms cleaned every day, also fresh bedding and towels, plenty of sun loungers. We went all inclusive but we had all the facilities for self catering. Brilliant for families. The staff very friendly, the food was excellent.

We had an issue with cockroaches in the room. The food wasn't that great. Pool area was a bit dangerous due to people slipping a lot. Weather was roasting hot.

As usual facilities and staff were excellent. Room looked to have had a refurbishment since our last visit which was very nicely done. Only disappointing thing was the food on all inclusive which was cold on quite a few occasions. There was a microwave available however this is not really the answer. However, we will definitely return as hotel offers good value for price.

Rowdy and uncouth behaviour constantly from mainly Brit tourists who drank themselves into oblivion. Unfortunately our room was above the bar and the noise and drinking carried on when the bar was closed at 1am until 3-4-5am most days. I asked for a move after 2 days but was told place was fully booked. The food was passable, breakfast and lunch but cold and an abysmal choice in the evenings. The main pool was noisy without the continuous music played, sunbeds were occupied by towels by 8-30am most days, regardless of whether they were being used. The small pool was pleasant as was the bar tender who was most obliging. Rooms were cleaned as per rota but beds left unmade. Staff were mainly polite but struggled with the attitude of many guests. Would I go back again - never!

The apartment was absolutely fine, very spacious and very clean. The service within the complex was fairly good, bar service, clearing of tables after dining. The downside was the variety of food for the evening meal. The evening meals were very limited and at times the hot food trays were empty. Also the entertainment in complex was either very poor or none whatsoever. Location of the complex was very pleasing and a good base. The service and booking system from Sunshine.co.uk was perfect, no problems at all. Everything they organised went exceptionally well. Good price for the holiday.

Our apartment was kept very clean, fresh towels every time the cleaners were in. Great views. Only went b&b. Downside, the entertainment can be a bit poor so go out to local bars. Pool area kept clean, pools are not heated. Staff were great as always and remember us.

Chamber maids, first class, room spotless, safe was amazing, all the bits fridges, tv, kettle and utensils great. But all the years me and my good lady have been abroad, some 40 years, we have never ever had a bed like we have had at the Colina Mar better then we have at home. The staff on reception first class. As we never used the pool, as we love beach, cannot comment on that. Local area great, taxi to beach cheap. Great great time and many thanks to your staff on sorting out our booking etc.

Very clean and functional apartment with fridge, toaster, kettle etc although you don't need it as we were all inclusive but there are also people half board and self catering in the hotel. The place is very very clean with people cleaning all the time. The cleaner was very friendly and did an excellent job but they didn't change our sheets throughout our stay! There are two pools and main one and smaller one near a snack bar where if all inclusive you can get ice creams and some drinks from 11.30am-4.30pm. There is also a pool bar which did wine, beer, soft drinks and sangria and an evening bar that did cocktails. The staff are very hard working especially Ellie in the restaurant who was always cheerful and friendly. Towel for the rooms were changed regularly no towels for the pool but we took our own. Food was very good - meats, vegetables, rice loads of chips, salads and lovely desserts. They did some themed nights - Chinese night was a bit weird!
