Just back from 2 week stay at the Cala Nova. Apartments were clean and spacious. Reception and bar staff friendly and accommodating. Pool area small also hard to get sun beds some days but this didn't spoil our holiday. Would recommend and would return.

Arrived at 10pm to be told that there was a problem with the booking, Cala nova had over booked! We were then told that we would be staying the night at the Altair (sister hotel up the hill) and we should book a taxi and pay for it and claim the money back off the hotel, as I was complaining to the blonde lady on reception that how can our room be double booked when we booked 11 months in advance? I also told her if I had known it was double booked I would never have booked this hotel to which the lady on reception said do you want to cancel the room now then! Shocking attitude.

The hotel is small in size, pool area very small in size and if you want a sun bed you would have to reserve floor space at stupid o'clock as I witnessed this everyday so I cannot give an honest review of the pool area as I never got to stay around the pool. Food in the pool/bar area for me was quiet expensive. The room was adequate, the balcony very good but with no air conditioning sleeping was a struggle with sweat dripping off you at night. There was some noise from the shopping centre but it was minimal.

Everything was perfect, didn't use the pool but it was always busy. Cafe/snack bar excellent. We have booked again for next year.

Cala Nova Hotel clean with good size rooms, beds very comfortable. Not too high up with good views from balcony.

It was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Pool was a good size and very safe for kids to walk around. Plenty sun loungers for all.

Perfect apartments for what we needed. The only improvement I would suggest would be air conditioning.

Really nice apartments. Close to beach and centre. We didn't stay there in the day so can't comment on entertainer but heard he did a really good job. He was there early morning till late at night. Rooms had everything you would need. Kettle, toaster, 2 ring hob, fridge etc. Bathroom had large shower. Plenty of storage space. Friendly staff. The only thing I could say let it down was the beds were hard so we slept on the sofas which didn't bother us at all only that we didn't get much sleep due to there being no air con as it was so hot, 30 degrees in the room. Air conditioning is a must, and we found out that you can hire an air conditioning unit for €60 per week. We would definitely go back to the Cala Nova.

Cala Nova ideal location very central for beach, shops, bars, restaurants, buses, taxis, angry birds activity park. Premises clean and friendly, staff always around very helpful in every department: maids, reception, bar, lifeguard, animation, activities going on if required. Rooms clean, spacious, appropriate cooking facilities and fridge, clean towels, no air con, large balcony and great views. You will get what you're looking for out of a holiday at the Cala Nova whether outgoing person or reserved person, can be left to own devices or join in on activities, other guests nice and friendly, really suits ones own needs. Plenty sun loungers, space around pool limited. Over all ideal, great value for money, will only get what you settle for and pay for whether want more or want less.
