Location
Rocamar Hotel is situated on the cliff in the tourist area of Canico de Baixo around 2km from the village centre of Canico. The hotel enjoys great views over the Atlantic Ocean and is just 12km from the centre of Funchal (to which the hotel runs a free shuttle). The hotel is approx 9km from Madeira Airport.
Facilities
Rocamar Hotel enjoys ocean views from it's terraces which are set into the cliffs, where guests will find an outdoor swimming pool, sitting areas, sun loungers, parasols and freshwater showers. In addition, the hotel has direct access to the calm Atlantic waters below.
Guests also have access to leisure facilities and activities at the neighbouring Royal Orchid Hotel. These include the Atalaia Diving Centre on the Royal Orchid's lido area on the sea front which offers diving trips to the caves and canyons of the underwater natural park, PADI courses and snorkelling equipment to hire. The Royal Orchid is also home to the Nautilus Health Club which features an indoor heated swimming pool, an outdoor pool, a fitness gym, group sessions such as Zumba, body pump, spinning; a sauna and jacuzzi, a Turkish bath and massage treatment rooms (local charges).
Social and dining venues include a restaurant serving regional and international cuisine, a sea front bar and a lounge bar with an outdoor terrace.
