Santa Susanna is a lovely resort, the beaches are fantastic and there are plenty of shops. The train station is on the front allowing easy access for day trips to Barcelona, Girona, Tossa De Mar and Lloret de mar. There is a large Carrefour supermarket near to the main group of hotels which is so handy. There are two market days in Santa Susanna - on Sunday morning there is a huge market next to the Carrefour supermarket and on Tuesday morning a market along the front, starting at the Indalo Park Hotel and finishing up by the train station. I didn't visit with children so can't comment on attractions but I know there is a waterpark nearby. I would recommend Santa Susanna as a place to visit.

Beaches
The beaches of Santa Susana are great for families with clean sand and calm shallow waters for the kids to play safely. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for hire plus there are shops, bars, cafes and restaurants conveniently located close by for refreshments and necessities.
Things to do
As with many coastal resorts there are plenty of watersports on offer including windsurfing and waterskiing. Scuba diving is also popular with some amazing dive spots. Other activities include horse riding and mountain biking.
Out and about
Most restaurants in the resort are family friendly and cater for all tastes and budgets. For traditional Spanish dishes and great Tapas visit the old town. The nightlife is here is fairly relaxed although there is a good selection of bars and couple of clubs that stay open til late.
Nearby places of interest
For a change of pace head up to Lloret de Mar for the fun water parks the kids will love and for the livelier nightlife with a multitude of buzzing bars and nightclubs.
