We only stayed one night but it was a lovely experience. The room was clean with good furnishings, the beds were a little hard for me but as I was only there one night ok. We stayed half board, the evening meal was set and consisted of spinach in filo pastry, chicken, chips and carrots and a honey pastry to finish. It was fine if a little on the cool side. The hotel is across the road from the beach, two minute walk into Gouvia and ten minutes to the marina.

Most staff nice. Location great. Rooms noisy and need updating. Guest set up for leaving, shower and room horrible. Beds hard.

Not a very warm welcome, arrived around midnight and was not even offered water even though it was boiling hot, elderly man with unpleasant manner, we struggled up two flights of steps with our cases. Fridge in room not plugged in, and empty, again nothing at all to drink. Went back to reception as no control for air conditioning which was stated when booked only to be told we had to pay for remote, extra 35 euros, couldn't live without it as 37 degrees and above every day. No safe in rooms, was told safe in reception and again had to pay so didn't bother, just took money out with me every time I left room. Went on half board basis and wish we hadn't, offered a menu for drinks only then told it's a set menu on half board, no choice at all food just put down in front of you, a starter, main and dessert with no explanation of what we were eating unless we asked, barbeque was the best night, but limited choice, breakfast continental as expected but again very limited, bread, meat, cheese, cake, odd day they threw in a boiled egg, tinned peaches or tinned pears, couldn't understand no fresh fruit at all and it was so cheap at mini market round corner. Ate out a lot on an evening to make up for it. Now on the positive side, rooms very basic but extremely clean and done daily, house keepers pleasant and friendly, always had a smile even working in that heat. Location was great just a stones throw away from beach, very pretty surroundings with lots of flowers and shrubs. Decided to go back to Gouvia in September but due to above have booked in another hotel.

The rooms were cleaned every day, very clean, towels changed after about 3 days, no pool/sun loungers, but was on the front by the sea. There was a mini fridge so could keep drinks cold, free wi-fi even in the room. I was on Half Board, there was no cooked breakfast, but cereal and cold meat, no toaster, evening meal was a bit late at 8 pm.

Very pleasant staff and very helpful. Food is of a good standard. Very clean location.
