The beautiful town of Soller is a popular base for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, with the whole surrounding area known for its stunning scenery. This traditional Majorcan town is packed with interesting and historical buildings, as well as several museums ideal for culture seekers.
Palma is approx 30 minutes drive away.

There are no beaches in Soller itself, though just a short tram ride away is the coastal resort of Puerto de Soller. Here there are two narrow beaches; the longest is Es Traves and the second just 5 minutes away is called Playa d'en Repic, both offer a mix of sand and pebbles.
Sun-loungers, umbrellas and pedalos are available to hire on the beach, and there are a number of refreshment outlets available along the beach promenade.
Things to do in the area
Soller makes a great base for enjoying nature, there are many interesting walking, hiking and cycling routes in the area. There are also several charming villages many with cobbled lanes, sights and historical buildings of interest, such as the Carthusian Monasater in Valldemossa, and in Deya the former residence of Robert Graves, and Fornalutx once voted the island's most beautiful village.
Soller also has the popular and unusual railway line that runs to Palma several times a day, taking just over an hour to complete its journey passing along breathtaking scenery through the mountains and citrus groves. The Soller Station is based in a 17th century manor house and its charming vintage carriages give it an oldie-world feel.
Other attractions around Soller include a botanical garden, the working traditional olive press at Ca'n Det Finca, and the harbour at Puerto de Soller a starting point for boat trips along the coast.
