The beach

Cala Deya is a pebbly beach 70-metres in length, it can be reached from the village by a 30-minute walk. There are two small restaurants here and an ideal spot to snorkel or swim.

Things to do nearby

The village of Deya (Deia) has an attractive 15th century church, which houses a collection of religious art, it's also home to the former residence of writer and poet Robert Graves which has now been transformed into a museum.

An ideal base for enjoying the great outdoors, with plenty of walks and cycling routes, there are two riding stables within 15 km and also the Son Termens 18-hole golf course which is approximately 15 km away.

There are several charming villages to be found in this area of Majorca, many with cobbled lanes, sights and historical buildings of interest, such as the 14th century Carthusain Monastry in Valledemossa, where during the winter of 1838-1839 composer Frederick Chopin and writer George Sand once stayed.

The estate of Jarndines de Alfabia is found just outside Bunyola, historically the home of the Arabic Viceroy of the island, it displays a fine example of Moorish garden design where the emphasis is on water and irrigation.
