We were upgraded to an apartment, which I would rate 3* as the accommodation was dated and very basic, clean but with signs of damp on the walls. The main hotel building seems more modern than the accommodation part. No nice touches in the rooms, apart from 5 boring black and white photos. Kettle in the room with a couple of pots of long life creamer, 2 bottles of water in the fridge on arrival and not replaced. We took our own tea and coffee. Food was good but never very hot did start to get repetitive after a few days, all the usual hotel choices. Italian and Asian themed nights but to be honest they weren't really much different to other evenings. My partner said the lager was drinkable I tried the mojitos they were just passable but ready mixed with a couple of mint leaves. Self serve wine in dining room Rose was ok. There seemed to be a reasonable amount of sun beds around the pool but we travelled after the busy summer period, people were putting towels on loungers at daybreak and then leaving them, although there are signs saying they will be removed they aren't. The staff are lovely and very helpful and hardworking. I can't comment on the entertainment as we never went to any of it, there were various shows during the week, Michael Jackson, River dance and a Greek music night, it sounded ok from our room and didn't finish late. The hotel is in a run down area away from shops and unless you hire a car, you need a taxi to get anywhere, there is a small shop just along the road and the hotel shop sells milk water papers and very pricey air beds etc for the pool. We had a lovely holiday as we both needed a break, we went to Rhodes by taxi and a trip by coach from the hotel for 15€ each to seven springs and Lindos which was excellent value considering the distance, but, would we go to this hotel again, probably not, I've stayed in other hotels in better locations with better accommodation.

A lot of kids and a lot of noise. A lot of food taken from the breakfast, lunch and dinner. People filled their water bottles from the dining area. Towels placed as early as 6 in the morning.

Where do I start. We arrived at 9.20pm and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who welcomed us whilst the bellboy brought our luggage in. She advised us dinner finished at 9.30 so told us to quickly pop down to the restaurant then check in after. We went to eat then when we got back they had arranged for our luggage to be taken to our room.

Throughout our stay we were welcomed by every member of staff. The waiters and waitresses worked so hard but always smiled and were friendly. Our maid was lovely and always spoke to us and our children (our kids wrote a thank you letter when we left to her). The bar staff, Sofia, Giorgios, Katrina, Lambros and Yiannis were always very friendly and smiling despite the heat and being busy. Reception were always friendly and helpful. The entertainment team were excellent and worked tirelessly all day long. Very friendly and helpful, especially Maggie and Tash! George who I believe was the manager was always around and would help moving sunbeds for people or behind the bar when they were busy and very hands on which was nice to see. Socrates the restaurant manager was always friendly, greeting people and looking after them. Our flight was in the evening and he allowed us to come in before it opened so we didn't miss our meal. Top man!

Great mix of English and Dutch people at the hotel as well as a few other countries. Not chavvy at all and all English kids were well behaved!

Points to note: you have to get up early for a sun bed right by the pool, 6.45-7 ish should be ok. Don't forget to stay with your towels otherwise they will be removed. The system actually works well and most people agreed its fair. Maids don't work Sundays. Kids not allowed in indoor pool in July/August.

There is no football on tv's at the hotel but there is the Rainbow bar which shows all games and is about 5 minutes walk away and not that expensive (4 euros a pint). The rest of the town has bars, shops, restaurants which is within 10 minutes. You will find cheaper lilos in there and lots of souvenirs as well as some fake but good ray bans, clothes and football kits.

The entertainment in the evening is on quite late, 9.45 start, the kids disco, face painting etc is on just before that about 8- 8.30ish. The tables and seats near the front go quite quickly so you need to get there a bit earlier if you want to see it. The Michael Jackson show and Africa shows are very good! Lots of things going on through the day around the pool, Monday is the entertainment teams day off so is quiet then but they still have kids club.

The slide in the pool is great and kids go on their inflatables down it. Lazy river is good and has a mini fountain going into it. Most UK flights are later in the evening so you can request (no guarantee) to keep your room. We paid 60 euros to keep it 'til 6pm which we were happy with. They have their own towels which you can get from the spa downstairs after getting a receipt from reception.

You do see a lot of planes flying over but you learn to ignore them. Or we often look to see what airline it is or guess which one is next. The beach is stony and not great but the sea is nice. There is a place next door that you can hire jet-ski's. We paid 45 euro for 15 minutes.

We went with my 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son and really enjoyed it. We would definitely go back. For me the best thing was the friendly staff and friendly guests. I would recommend getting a sea view room. Ours had a kettle, tea/coffee and a fridge in the room.
