Kiotari, Rhodes, Greece
Kiotari is an up and coming resort with an impressive sand and shingle beach. There are a few restaurants, tavernas and a shopping centre catering for all your needs. The resort is ideal for couples and families looking for a peaceful holiday.
Kiotari centres around its crescent beach and does not draw the mass tourism like some of the resorts on Rhodes. Large hotels with their private beaches can be found here and activities tend to centre around them however a choice of shops, bars, restaurants and tavernas offering traditional Greek dishes are also on offer.Read more about: Beaches | Nearby Attractions | Quick Facts | Kiotari Reviews

The resort is really geared towards the all inclusive market with only a few eating places. The shops are well stocked and there is a supermarket.

Kiotari may not be your first option because of the transfer times etc, but once you are there, you can get the local bus to any where on the island. You could get to Largos and Lindos for 1.80 euro and visit the ruins and narrow streets of Lindos with the donkey taxi. You can even get into Rhodes town to visit the old town and mariners for 7.10 euros although the bus times to Rhodes town is about 1.45 hrs. Some places offer an express service to Rhodes and back for a couple euros more. I suggest catching the earliest bus out from Kiotari, which I will add the bus stop is right outside the Miraluna resort, and the security guard was a great help telling us which side of the road to be on and places to visit and eat.

The sand and shingle crescent shaped beach stretches the length of the resort and shelves gently into the sea. Perfect for families as the waters are shallow and for those seeking more activie pursuits there is a choice of watersports including jetskiing, windsurfing and parasailing. Back on dry land, rows of sun loungers and parasols are available for hire.
There are some interesting historical sites to visit including the village of Asklipion with its Byzantine church and medieval ruins. Gennadi village is also worth visiting with its traditional whitewashed houses, maze of alleys and beautiful beach or the town of Lindos with its ancient hilltop Acropolis.
Rhodes Airport is approximately 69km away - transfer time 1 hour 30 minutes.
