The beach

The sandy beach is called Cala Ponset it's a small and quiet beach with limited facilities though a café-bar can be found adjacent to the beach. There are also several small stony beaches and bathing spots around the Alcanada coastline, providing ideal spots for snorkelling.

Things to do

Alcanada is a great place to enjoy water sports and of course golf at the 18-hole Alcanada Golf Club.

Alcudia has plenty going on with a variety of attractions suited to all types of holidaymakers. Families will love the Hidropark which offers pools, waterslides, mini-golf and much more, there is also the Laberinth Maze Fun-park and a large karting track.

Alcudia is also a city of historical interest with its Roman walls, a Roman theatre, a small Roman church and even a 19th century bull-ring.

Out and about

As a small resort there are limited amenities, there is however a mini-market and a handful of restaurants.

Of course you don't have to travel to far for a wider selection, in neighbouring Puerto Alcudia just 1km away there is no shortage of places to eat and drink, with a variety of food and worldwide cuisines available.

Nearby attractions

Nature lovers and bird spotters will enjoy the S'Albufereta Natural Reserve and the larger S'Albufera Natural Park, these large areas consist of marsh, lakes, riverside woodland and coastal ecosystems, and are packed with wildlife and many species of bird.

The old town of Pollensa is just 15 km inland and features some interesting historical buildings along with the 365 Calvario Steps which lead to a hillside chapel.
