Vilalara Thalassa Resort is set in 11 acres of gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with direct access to a sandy beach. The hotel has several outdoor pools, four tennis courts, a gym and a spa centre.
Location
Armacao de Pera is approx 2km from the hotel, Porches around 5km and Portimao about 16km away, all easily reached by public transport that stops just 150m from the hotel. Riding, safaris, a golf course and various water sports are offered close to the hotel, including sailing opportunities.
The approximate driving time is 45 minutes and distance is 55km from Faro International Airport.
Facilities
Vilalara Thalassa features large gardens, with swimming pools and childrens pools with saltwater and freshwater, and surrounding sun-terraces furnished with loungers and parasols. Further sports facilities include four tennis courts (two with floodlights), a gym and organised daytime activities such as Tai Chi Chuan and yoga sessions.
The Spa centre has an indoor pool (for treatments and therapies), a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, massage service and a wide range of spa treatments (including shiatsu massages, Reiki, hot stone massages and osteopathy).
The hotel restaurants specialise in seafood and Portuguese cuisines and there is also a seasonal terrace grill and a lounge bar. There is a new F&B concept where guests can enjoy a full three course meal, a la carte with soft drinks, or wine pairings. Half Board is also available in a variety of F&B outlets: B&G Restaurant, Terrace Grill, Trattoria Grotta Rotonda and also available through Room service.
