The Vila Gale Albacora is located along the Rio Gilao with Tavira Island and the Ria Formosa in view, a former tuna fishing camp now restored into a 4-star hotel with indoor and outdoor pools, a spa and a kids club.
Location
Vila Gale Albacora is located in the Ria Formosa Natural Park and just a short drive from Tavira town. The hotel's ferry boat takes you to the beach (charged locally). Cycling, horse-riding, trekking and fishing are available in the area and nearby golf courses include Vila Sol, Quinta da Ria, Benamor, Castro Marim, Quinta de Cima and The Old Course.
The resort of Tavira is approx 40km from Faro Airport.
Facilities
Vila Gale Albacora has an outdoor swimming pool, childrens pool and a Spa with an indoor pool, as well as a jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna, Vichy shower, fitness gym and a menu of Spa treatments. There is also a games room, a playground and a kid's club for children.
The main restaurant offers national and international dishes buffet style with show cooking and theme nights. There is also an a'la carte restaurant which offers traditional Portuguese cuisine, a lounge bar and evening entertainment including live music.
The hotel has parking spaces and services available to guests include 24-hour reception with currency exchange, room service, internet access, laundry services and a shuttle service to the beach and resort centre (charged locally).

All Inclusive
The All Inclusive includes all meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner, served buffet style in the main restaurant. Snacks and ice cream are offered at set times during the day.
A selection of non-premium brands, soft drinks, red and white wines, draught beer, vodka, gin, rum, mineral water, tea and coffee are available between 10.30am and 11pm.
