Facilities
Sheraton Soma Bay Hotel has a long natural sand beach with a PADI diving centre and water sports centre providing the opportunity for snorkelling, windsurfing, water skiing, catamarans, snorkelling over the house reef and diving course.
The 18 hole golf course, designed by Gary Player, lies next to the complex and overlooks the Red Sea. It has a 9 hole Academy, a training facility and a pro golf shop.
The Thalasso Spa is an ornate haven with an indoor Aquatonic pool, jacuzzis, hydrotherapy baths and a menu of wraps, massages and beauty treatments. There is also a health club with a fitness gym, daily fitness activities and a sauna.
Further leisure facilities and activities include an outdoor swimming pool, a children's pool, 3 tennis courts, a squash court, an aqua park, a croquet court, beach volleyball, table tennis and billiards tables, darts, mini football, a jogging path, a children's playground and a kids entertainment programme of activities, parties and games.
Social and dining venues include a brasserie style restaurant (breakfast and dinner), a grill restaurant (daytime), an Italian restaurant (dinner), a cafe tent, cocktail bar and terrace, a cocktail bar and disco, a pool-side bar, a beach bar and a beach hut serving snacks throughout the day. During the summer season there is also a stage bar.
