Sani, Halkidiki, Greece

A lively seaside resort which is positioned on the Kassandra peninsula and features a marina, good choice of amenities and a beautiful beach. Sani is the perfect resort for families and couples to relax and unwind.

Sani offers a upmarket marina filled with yachts and lined with cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Don't expect lively nightlife in this area, as it is still 'under development', though do visit nearby hotels who have more than compensated for this by providing a varied program during the summer season.

Beaches outstanding. Walks in both forest/wetlands from hotel and cliff top walk from Sani Club at other end of resort. Pleasant strolls between the hotels, via the marina. No towns/villages to visit easily however and the shops are really all 'high end/designer' type, so no real opportunity for souvenir-type shopping. Drinks expensive, but various 'offers' available (eg Happy hours at Mojito bar; 50% off sparkling wine and/or 20% off all drinks when we were there in September; 10% off drinks for returning visitors).

Sani has a 7km stretch of sandy beach which is perfect for families due to its shallow waters. Restaurants line the beach and there are sun loungers and parasols for hire on the sand.
