Weather was exceptional so using the well maintained beach was a pleasure. There are lots of bars and restaurants around so self catering would be a good option here. You got to try the Cuba bar on the beach, fantastic good staff there, Aloha another good night out and some like the Serine bar do live music.

Plenty of restaurants, fairly cheap, food not bad, lovely beach but does get quite crowded, £6 to hire a sunbed, not many excursions available most take taxis instead (but these can be pricey), shops are fairly cheap, be warned we found most Bulgarians in shops extremely rude.

This aptly named resort has wide golden sands run for approx 3.5km alongside the entire resort and slope gently into the calm waters of the Black Sea. Legend states, that mother nature transformed the sands from the golden treasures buried by pirates.
The resort has a yacht harbour and plenty of opportunity for water-sports such as diving, yachting, para-sailing, jet-skiing and banana rides.
Things to Do
Golden Sands has a number of land-based sports facilities including tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, an outdoor gym, an archery centre and a bowling alley.
The resort has several ancient mineral water springs which, in turn, means there is a choice of Spas to relax in.
For family fun, there is a small water park, the Aquapolis and a beach front fairground where you will also find a scaled down replica of the Eiffel Tower, complete with an observation deck and restaurant.
Out and About
Golden Sands backs onto the Zlatni Piasatsi Nature Park, a natural area of forests and terraced hill-sides. There are walking paths and hiking routes through the forest with picnic areas by the ancient fountains and panoramic view points. The Park is also home to the remains of the medieval Aladzha Monastry which is carved into the rocks.
Nearby places to visit include the Botanical Gardens in Balchik (24km), the city of Varna (18km) and the Spa resort of Saints Constantine and Elena (8km).
