Beaches

Cala Tarida boasts a long beach of fine white sands with gorgeous green-blue clear and shallow waters. This sunny, south-facing beach is set in a sheltered bay on the west coast and is particularly popular with families. For the most part, the beach shelves gently into the water and is suitable for children and swimming. The beach is approx 260 metres long and 40 metres wide with deeper waters and rocks to the sides.

There are loungers and shades at the beach; you can hire pedalos, take a banana boat or play a game of beach volleyball. The resort has a PADI diving centre offering scuba diving courses and other watersports available include sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing.

Things to Do

Cala Tarida enjoys a peaceful location surrounded by natural countryside and a coastline dotted with coves and beaches. Just a little north of the resort, the string of coves and beaches at Platges de Comte are beautiful by day and a great spot to watch the sunset.

Take the ferry into San Antonio; explore the shops of the West End and relax in a chill-out bar on Sunset Strip.

Set in the hills behind the resort the small town of San Jose is an ideal spot to experience authentic and unhurried local life. There is an 18th century church, a few shops and bars and some restaurants with menus of traditional local dishes. Just outside the town you can admire spectacular views across the island from Sa Talaia, the highest point on Ibiza.

Out and About
