Beaches

Cala San Vicente has a long sandy beach located in a wide bay on the east coast of Ibiza. The beach is backed by a palm-lined, pedestrianised promenade and the bay is framed with pine-clad cliffs. The beach is long (380 metres) and narrow (30 metres) and the clear turquoise Mediterranean waters are clear and shallow; suitable for children and swimming.

The resort has a PADI diving centre offering equipment hire, courses and trips to the many dive sites around the island. Other water sports and activities available include a windsurfing centre, pedalos and banana boat rides.

Things to Do

Stop by the tiny little village of San Vicente and its pretty 19th century church. It is the smallest village on the island and lies approx 3km inland from the bay. Stroll up to the cliffs for beautiful views over the bay and to the exclusive private island of Tagomago. Indeed there are plenty of places to enjoy long countryside walks in this corner of the island and many secluded little coves to discover.

Set amid the pine trees behind the bay, you can visit the archaeological site of Es Cuileram Cave. Hundreds of terracotta figures and figureheads have been excavated from the cave, from which you can enjoy beautiful views. The site is approx 4km by road or you can walk up from the resort through the pine woods along a marked path in about 15 minutes.

Out and About

There are some great restaurants in Cala San Vicente with a selection of shops and bars along the promenade. This is a quiet and laid back resort, surrounded by countryside and perfect for a relaxing beach holiday.

Nearby Attractions

The Wednesday market held at Es Cana is always popular and is easily reached (approx 11km) and the cultural resort of Santa Eulalia with its chic boutiques and exclusive marina is also just 12km away.
