I tended to bypass Lambi on the way into Kos town. My three rating is based purely on this.

Lambi as a resort is brilliant, it's close to Kos Town centre where there is a harbour with all the boats, yachts and ferries to look at while you sit in one of the many restaurants and bars and relax. There's plenty of places to go sight-seeing including the castle. I would recommend Lambi to anyone, it's an amazing place.

We were there in October so the resort was quiet, however it is a short distance into Kos town and many tourists hired bikes making it just a few minutes away. We loved the location.

Lambi itself is okay, very close to Kos Town. The beach gets better as you walk along it. Some parts are very clean. Other areas of the beach very messy and lots of fly tipping, which destroys the nice views that Lambi has to offer. Shops are reasonable and the shop owners are very helpful and friendly even if you're not buying anything from them they make you very welcomed. Restaurants there are really good, and reasonable.

The one downside for me is the amount of all inclusive hotels being built there. It kills off all of the local bars, shops and other entertainment options laid on by local Greeks. Which is a big reason for going to Greece in the first place.

Lambi is a quieter part of Kos Town but not too distant from the main hub. Lots of restaurants and many choices on the menus. A coach tour around this island gives one a very pleasant view of the highlands as well as the beaches. My second visit in three months.

Lambi is now a quiet area and is just starting to rebuild itself after the all inclusive took over. There are new tavernas opening and old closed hotels reopening. The beach is a bit messy but that is not Lambi fault but the immigrants throwing stuff all about the beach, the local council is trying its hardest to clean it up. We have always loved Lambi and our favourite pub The Delon.

Good choice of bars and tavernas, only few mins stroll to Kos Town. Beaches clean. Hire a bicycle - cheap, and a lovely cool breeze generated when on 2 wheels; more comfortable than walking. Cycle to Tigaki, only 5 or 6 miles away along the coast for more excellent beaches and tavernas.

The object of the vacation was to have some sun peace and quiet and to enjoy Kos's and Lambi's hospitality and to make the most of the bike trails. We were not disappointed.

Don't worry about that erroneous report published in the Daily Mail May 2015 about Lambi Beach, the two inflatable boats looked as if they had been there since the winter storms. The refugees were not walking around watching you eat and begging as suggested but queuing at the town police station for the necessary paperwork before moving on to Athens. The beach bar local to the hotel had free sun beds with waiter service and you had a glass of cool water on arrival and no premium cost. Lambi is now an extension of Kos town.

lambi is a nice quite area close enough to kos town but far enough for peace and tranquility, the beach at Lambi is a nice sandy beach but let down by the cleanliness it needs to be maintained it is strewn with rubbish that comes in from the sea, bags, drink bottles etc this really does need addressing it spoils what would be a beautiful beach and this is what draws people to the area

Just right for a peaceful holiday but just a 25 min walk to main Kos town or hire a bicycle out, great cycle paths. Beach stony but sea was lovely.

Good place to stay as not far from Kos town. There are a few bars, tavernas and shops in Lambi and at least one ATM. Beach is ok, a bit shingly. There is a good cycle lane all along the main road and plenty of shops to rent bicycles.

It is always Lambi we stay at. We have visited all the resorts on Kos but prefer Lambi. Over the years we have made lots of friends from this area. It can be really quiet then after 5 minutes walk it's busy (best of both worlds).

Holiday Date:24th Sep 2014

Not really a resort. Nothing much outside the hotel and a long way from Kos Town, about an hour to walk.

Holiday Date:24th Sep 2014
Accommodation:Atlantis Hotel

The hotel was fine and the beach I mentioned above however, I did walk into the town of Kos one day which took around 45 mins walking slowly and it's very apparent that the state of the country financially is visible. A lot of hotels, shops, bars were empty and there is a lot of graffiti in some of the places. I appreciate the lifestyle is more laid back to someone from the UK but comparing Greece to Turkey it seems that the Greeks are very dis ponder now and am very surprised that they have let things like the appearance and upkeep of their main tourist resorts has clearly gone into disrepair. You would think as tourism is their main industry they would want to keep this in check. I didn't visit much of the rest of the island but as for Lambi itself it is out if Kos and therefore is very quiet, however, if you are looking for water sport activities then you would need to travel into Kos town centre as there is nothing like this in Lambi. You do get stunning views however of Bodrum just over the water and the mountains of Turkey. As mentioned before as well as the beach is in the tip of the island there is nearly always a breeze which can be quite windy at times but in the heat of the day this is sometimes welcome!

Good beaches but sadly you are made to feel that you have to rent sun beds, umbrellas etc to make use of them. That being said the current charge of 5 Euro for two beds and umbrella for the day is not wholly unreasonable

Lovely location. Beach was a bit stoney but always had a lovely breeze. 20 mins walk to Kos town.
