Beaches

The picturesque bay of Cala Vadella has a long, fine sand Blue Flag beach which shelves gently into the clear waters. The beach is well serviced and is approx 260 metres long and at least 50 metres wide. The bay is quite deep and sheltered and is a haven for small yachts and boats.

The family friendly beach of Cala Vadella has plentiful sun loungers and shades. There is a dive centre at the resort and water sports and activities available include swimming and snorkelling, pedalos and banana boats.

Things to Do

A little to the south of the resort, there is a lovely, relaxing beach at Cala d'Hort, backed by pine clad cliffs and overlooking the small islet of Es Vedra which lies just offshore. There is a handful of beach bars and restaurants and, given a good breeze, the shallow waters are popular for body surfing.

Behind the resort is the peak of Sa Talaia, the highest on Ibiza, where you can enjoy fabulous views over the coastline and countryside of Ibiza. A tad further inland the traditional working town of San Jose has some good restaurants offering tasty local cuisine. The town is popular with coach tours and has an 18th century church, some shops and the chance to relax at one of the pavement bars and experiencing daily life as a local.

Out and About

There is a good choice of bars and restaurants, many of which are right by the beach. There are also plenty of shops for your groceries and every day needs. Cala Vadella is on the local bus route for San Antonio and San Jose if you wish to explore a little.

Nearby Attractions

Cala Vadella is approx 10 minutes drive from San Antonio, famous for its sunset bars and nightclubs and 20 minutes drive from the chic shops and charming streets of Ibiza Town.

There is a Go-Kart Track at San Antonio and a Water Park at Playa den Bossa. Popular markets include the Hippy Market on Wednesdays at Es Cana and the Las Dalias Saturday market in San Carlos.
