Malgrat is a great resort for families. It has everything you need for a lovely holiday. The normal tourist shops are of course there but you need to walk a bit further to find the old town. This is where the locals shop and there are some lovely quaint things to discover. One find is a lovely wine shop. The gentleman brews all of whats on offer. Take your empty bottle and he will fill it up for you and the cost is so reasonable. Take a trip on the free funicular to the park Polivalent Francesc Macia for some wonderful views over Malgrat and areas. The best put in resort is the New Crown and Anchor - Trevor and Chris with all their friendly staff will give you a lovely welcome. They do lovely food so if you feel like a change from the hotel one night then try here; we can really recommend it.

The beach is good although a little bit stoney. You can always hire at a cost sunbeds and parasols. There are lots of activities to do during your stay in Malgrat and the resort caters for both young and old. It has never disappointed us and this was our 10th year here. It just draws you back.

The area is clean with enough shops, bars and restaurants to keep you entertained for a few days or a week. Nice beach. I think you'd need to leave the resort and go on trips for anything other than a gentle stroll up and down the front.
