Beach superb, all the restaurants pleasant to eat in. No theme parks so don't go if that what you want on holiday. Lots of water sports available. Don't go expecting to do any shopping as there is nothing to buy, which also means that you have to take everything you will need with you.

The resort is good, the dolphin trip was very great and good value for money compared with other countries visited. All the restaurants were very good especially the Romantica, great service and great food, the only downfall is the buffet restaurant, food was sometimes over cooked, dried out and very repetitive. The beach is brill, the beach bar/restaurant is brill, fresh baked pizza, ice cold drinks and beautiful scenery, top that. With Carlos the entertainment manager and beach volleyball, what more can a man ask for. Overall brill holiday, will be booking again for next year.

Secluded white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, sheltered lagoons and lush tropical greenery provide an idyllic setting for the all-inclusive hotel complexes at Playa Pesquero.

Ideal for a relaxing break you can spend your days lazing on the warm sands and snorkelling amid colourful tropical fish, right off the beach.

Things to Do

For a family day out, take a day trip to Naranjo Bay (24km) where you can watch the sea lion shows and swim with the dolphins at the nature park or, go horse-riding in the countryside at BioParque Rocazul.

Out and About

At Holguin climb the steps at the Hill of the Cross for panoramic views and soak up the atmosphere of the city at Parque Calixto Garcia; stroll through Flower Square, visit La Periquera museum and the Cathedral of San Isidoro.

Nearby Attractions

Nearby towns to visit include Gibara (36km) and Holguin (45km). Gibara is a Spanish style fishing town with colonial architecture that was once a rich port at the peak of the sugar and slave trading days. Here you can visit the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Colonial Art, relax on one of the 3 beaches, see the charming Church of San Fulgencio and the remains of the Fortresses that once protected the port.
