Konakli centre has little character and the area is purpose built for tourists. The new shopping mall is an improvement. Beaches in this area are sand and shingle and not looked after as well as other areas along the coast. Only plus factor is Alanya just a bus ride away.

Things to do
Holidays in Konakli are centred on the beach where a variety of watersports are on offer. Much of the entertainment in the resort is offered within the hotels with many offering a full animation programme for all ages to enjoy. For a livelier night scene head to Alanya which has numerous music bars and clubs.
The tourist town of Alanya is just 12km away and a great place to visit, one of its outstanding features is its castle, hard to miss it's situated on a promontory with walls which nearly reach 6.5km in length, another popular attraction is the Damlatas Cave, said to be beneficial to asthma sufferers.
The area is also great for day trips to nearby sites of interest such as the Aspendos Roman Theatre, the ancient ruins at Perge and Side, and the natural beauty of the Manavgat waterfall and the Sapadere Canyon or white-water rafting in the Koprulu Kanyon National Park.
