Stayed across from Old town and fun spot, which was good. A few restaurants in the area although quite far from International Drive's Iride busses. Had to get Uber everywhere. Far away from Universal, SeaWorld and shopping malls. Hotel provided transport to Disney parks for free although shuttle times not great, only running once in morning and once at night, still had to use Uber.

Really close to Disney approx 10 minute drive away, in a perfect location for the I4 interstate which means you can either go to the beach on the east coast at Daytona or go west to Tampa or Sarasota for the day. Numerous restaurants within a 2-5 minute drive ranging from American food, to Mexican to Chinese, all on your doorstep.

There is no beach in Kissimmee but if you are prepared to travel, you will come across some fantastic beaches. Cocoa Beach is over an hours drive away but it is beautiful and certainly worth the trip.
Things to Do
A must do while staying in Kissimmee is a trip through the Everglades on an airboat to get a taste of the real Florida. There are various tours available and you can look forward to seeing a whole host of beautiful birds, wild creatures, snakes and of course, alligators. Zipping through the swamp is an unforgettable experience for all the family.
If you would rather see alligators in a more controlled environment then take a trip to Gatorland. Not only will you see alligators but you will also see crocodiles, snakes and various different birds. You can view the animals from a 2000 foot boardwalk, visit the alligator nurseries and rearing ponds and enjoy the view from the 3 storey observation tower. There are also various shows, alligator wrestling, a petting zoo, gator gully splash park where you will get wet and Screamin Gator zipline, so for all this and more it has to be a trip to Gatorland.
The Old Town is a hive of activity with bars, restaurants, shops and various attractions for all the family. There are several thrill rides here too and weekly car shows so there is never a dull moment.
Fun Spot America is another family entertainment area with roller coasters, thrill rides, go karts and gentler versions for little ones. There is also an indoor arcade and snack bar for those in need of re energising.
There are many golf courses in the area and of course, crazy golf too which is always a family favourite. There are also helicopter rides and segway tours but if you prefer to chill you can visit one of the many park and lake areas.

With so much going on in Kissimmee, it is a good idea to combine a trip to the theatre with dinner. There are several dinner shows available, such as Medieval Times where you will get to see some jousting while eating a meal which is fit for king. There is also Capones and Pirate's Dinner Adventure too which are both great fun for all and something a little different.
There are lots and lots of restaurants dotted around Kissimmee, many of which offer American cuisine but you will find a variety of other foods such as Chinese, Indian, Italian and Mexican, definitely something to suit every taste and pocket. There are plenty of bars and clubs around so if you have the energy after a day seeing the sights, you will find somewhere to relax and unwind.
