Gare du Nord & Republique (Arr 10 & 11)
The 10th arrondissement contains two of the six main rail stations in Paris: Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. Also contains a large portion of the Canal Saint-Martin, which links the Seine River to the northeast of the Paris area. The eleventh arrondissement is a lively, varied area. The area is very rough, full of beggars, refugees and other itinerants. The pavements are dirty, full of rubbish with lots of dog and human excrement. After dark this is a relative no go area for Caucasians.
