Food not as varied as some hotels, but then again you are not paying anything like their prices. It is always hot, well cooked, the soups are to die for. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Once again the rooms are as good if not better than other hotels. We've stayed there three times this year and will return later on in the year. A courtesy bus goes to the town centre at 9:00am and 10:00am daily.

Good hotel, clean room good, food good plenty of choice. Spoiled by students running riot at midnight banging on doors and shouting. Also had over an hour wait for transfer which if had been told could have gone back into airport and had a coffee instead of roasting on coach.

The Hotel is very good. Food good well cooked and hot. Beware in March to April of student parties. We had about 100 students mostly French. The noise was disgusting and was the only thing that spoiled our holiday. Neither the teachers or the hotel staff seemed to be able to do much about it. We did however stay at the Bella Vista in January and had no problems at all. Going back there in May so can't be bad can it?

Basic and unhelpful staff especially Danielle on the reception. Doesn't help when you arrive and you can't check in until 2. They say your welcome to leave your luggage but have to pay for meals and drinks until you can check in at 2. We was then put on the 6th floor and told not to unpack as we were moving rooms the following day. We then moved to first floor with noisy roads and building works on the next building. It didn't help with the gaps between the door seal. Food was basic and wasn't very hot. There was a bath and overhead shower in the room although the water came out black so you had to run it a while until it cleared. Pay for wifi and it was hit and miss, their excuse was it needed updating but received no refund. Room service was every day but the beds were never changed but the maid was really lovely. The lift kept breaking down which wasn't helpful. Plus fire alarm kept going off at all times. The indoor pool was really warm and pleasant and so was the jacuzzi but the walls were slimey and you felt dirty in them. Will return to Malta when the warmer weather comes but definitely not at Bella Vista.

Initial check-in was a bit stressful. Our flight was late and and the two men at reception were trying to deal with guests. However the girl from the shop attached to the Hotel came to our rescue and spoke to one of the men who dealt with our check in. Our room was fine, beds a bit low and hard but very clean. Very pleased to see a fridge and safe. Generally housekeeping was very good. Room cleaned, fresh towels every day. Pool was fine, pads for the loungers a bit tired but ok. Food and entertainment were very good, always a good choice. Staff were helpful and children all enjoyed themselves at the evening entertainment. Although the Hotel is a bit out of Qawra we were given a map with a quick way into town (10 minutes). The walk back along the shore road was lovely (25 minutes). The coffee wine bar, The Highlander, 2 minutes from the Hotel was lovely. Liz and David made everyone feel welcome. It soon became "Our Local".

We stayed all inclusive for one week in the Bella Vista and had a fantastic time. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and extremely polite. The food was delicious and the drinks were plentiful. Our room overlooked the pool and was adequate for our needs. The maids came everyday and changed the bedding and towels as well as clean the room.

A clean and basic hotel, slightly out of town. It was a good base for exploring the island, but is not a 4 star hotel in UK terms. The food was very poor and the same food every night of the week. A lack of variety and imagination.

We had a fabulous 10 day stay at The Bella Vista Hotel, especially for what we paid.
Our room was clean and away from the main road so noise from passing traffic was at a minimum and we had a decent view too. It was brightly furnished, had a kettle and cups and saucers, flat screen TV, lashings of hot water for a bath or shower and a hairdryer. So no need to bring one with you. The rooms are serviced daily, which is good and toiletries and fresh towels are supplied. The food was very good and on most evenings they surpassed themselves with some excellent main courses, delicious soups and deserts. A variety of snacks are available between 10am-3pm which we couldn't fault at all. The hotel even supplies all inclusive guests with tea, coffee, milk and sugar that you collect from the shop to take to your room. Free transport is available daily at 9am and 10am to take you in to Bugibba. That saves you 1.50 euro a day. You can also book transport at reception to take you there at 7.30pm only and bring you back at 11pm free of charge. To top it all we had a 3.30am departure from the hotel and when we went down to the lobby there was a trolley with tea and coffee, soft drinks, cereals and toaster to make a snack before you left. Hats off to you Bella Vista, you do yourselves proud. I've never known a hotel do this before and I've stayed in quite a few in Malta over the years. This was a bargain holiday, excellent service and value for money. I would definitely come back there, it was thoroughly enjoyable.

The breakfast, the lunch and evening dinner (all food) is a disgrace. Snack bar is no longer available for snacks. Cleaners in four days only came once. Shame on Bella Vista.

The hotel is very run down and badly needs refurbishing. Staff were all in the main very good but think they are running the place with not enough staff. Food was ok and there was always something to suit us. We had the usual food moaners but they moan about everything. Met some wonderful and crazy people so they made our holiday.

Room is small, but good and clean. View from the window not good, to the street. Pool is small, but enough space to swim, but sun loungers are not cleaned and old. Card system in the hotel is good. Food was good, but we didn't like, that vegetables were always the same. All inclusive guests don't include simple ice cream and no cocktails. Many seniors in the hotel, its good place for rest, but not for a party. Location is far from sea, but bus stop is very close to a hotel, from there you can easy reach other places.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Food was average, infact good for what we paid. Entertainment was good. Location was excellent for walking and catching local transport. We enjoyed our holiday and would stay there again. There was building work going on next door but the hotel could do nothing about this.

This is in no way a 4* hotel. The rooms are shabby (ours was partially upgraded - which basically meant half of it was old and the other half didn't work) took us 3 days to get them to fix the hairdryer (not good, I have long hair). The food selection was mediocre at best. The all inclusive package was a joke. We arrived after evening meal service had finished and were given a 'snack pack' (one soggy butty, an apple, a bottle of water and a pack of tomato flavour crisps each, which we assume they were unable to sell. Then on departure date the all-inclusive card cut of immediately after lunch and our transfer wasn't until 17.30hrs. Don't even get me started on the upgrade to the 'side sea view room'! I'm guessing that they think that a lovely view of the inland end of the salt pans counts. We saw one of the cleaners mop the floor in the lounge area, then empty the contents of her bucket into the pool! I don't really think that the staff could have given a monkey's whether the guests were ok or not. There was building work going on right next to the hotel from 06.30 until almost 17.00 daily except Sunday and when one guest went to reception to ask when it would stop, the receptionist shrugged her shoulders, told her it was nothing to do with the hotel and wandered away.
