The accommodation which was a double bedroom, was really big in size with 2 bathrooms was really good, no microwave or oven, just a 2 ring burner. You have to buy air conditioning per room, which was £8 per night per room, so the 1st 5 days one of our air conditioning machines in one bedroom was not working, which we mentioned this every day and someone came up each day and it didn't fix this until day 5 when a maintenance guy actually changed this part out of the machine and it worked great since. We asked for a refund for the 5 days we were without and said we could have the credit behind the bar for drinks only which that was ok for us. The rooms were OK, the bathrooms could do with the cleaners spending an extra 5 mins to actually clean them. Towels were changed regularly however we were often only given 3 towels when there is 5 of us, when we did get 5, 2 of the towels were hand towels so couldn't use for after a shower. The entertainment was very poor as the entertainment guys had either been sacked or left and this left us no entertainment for a week, the first 3 days we were there the entertainers played water games, dart competitions, pool competitions, however the darts were so light you couldn't hit the board and the pool que had no ends on so you couldn't actually play the competitions properly.

Room wasn't cleaned regularly and sheets and towels were changed twice in a fortnight. People were holding sun loungers from 7am with towels and not using them until lunchtime. Other guests were slamming doors from morning until night and it wasn't just children doing it.

Location was fine, bus stop at front door and 10 minute walk to beach.

I travelled to Alenz Suite as a single parent with my son who is 9 years old. We both thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, the entertainment team at Alenz were top class and couldn't do enough for the kids. Food was nice and we are here most days as my son didn't want to leave the hotel grounds due to having too much fun.

Best holiday in a long time.

When we arrived we were put on the top floor [5th] but after 2 nights the lift broke down and I couldn't manage the stairs. My husband went and asked them to move us to a lower floor which they did and were most helpful in bringing our luggage and things down the stairs to a level we were happy with. We were there for 2 weeks, I know that the lift wasn't fixed by the time we left. Other than that the hotel is very good and clean and close to shops and restaurants.

Lovely stay, the pool area could do with a good clean though was cleaning my own sun loungers because they were so dirty. One bed apartment, the bedroom had air conditioning which we had to pay for, we slept in the main area on sofa bed with no air conditioning, had to go and buy an electric fan. Room was cleaned everyday and clean towels were given everyday. Lovely staff always willing to help but I wouldn't eat at the restaurant.

We had a great stay at the Alenz, the apartments were lovely and clean, we had a pool view, a balcony and two Juliet balconies it was very unexpected. The staff were amazing, so friendly, couldn't do enough for you. The entertainment was very good, fatty bum bum and Cha cha slide very very funny and worked very hard. The food was brilliant, we upgraded to half board and ate in ten of our 14 nights and must admit the food outside the hotel wasn't as good as the hotel. All in all we had a great time and will definitely go back. We have to thank Sunshine Holidays for all their help and making our first on line booking so easy.

Second time here and it just gets better, fab pool area in comparison to other hotels. Staff just couldn't do enough for you and the entertainment crew were fabulous. HB £10 which was fab and such a good choice for breakfast and evening meal (3 course) including steak. They were so keen to please they even cooked meals that weren't on the menu. Hairdressers is fab and very reasonable.

Pros:- Rooms are clean, and well maintained. Staff are polite, and try to help. Accommodation is comfortable and a reasonable number of sun loungers with a no reservation policy clearly displayed. Location is good. Well away from Bar street, on bus routes (Dolmus route 3, very cheap) with taxis outside, supermarkets, and beach only 10 minutes away. Good powerful shower. Cousins, an excellent bar\restaurant 100 yds. up the road with very reasonable prices, great staff and excellent food.
Wi-Fi is available for only £3 for your stay. Air Con is also available but rather more.
Cons:- For self-catering poor equipment. It took 2 days to get a hob, and toaster as advertised, and the first hob blew the main fuse in the room. No sink plugs, and no hot water plumbed into the kitchen or bathroom sink. 1 small knife, 1 frying pan, a spoon, and a saucepan was the sum total of cooking equipment. First morning down we were accosted by a number of reps trying to sell their services quite forcefully in the hotel reception before we could escape to get some breakfast and shopping.
Room instructions say ring reception, yet no phone in the room. For those with families, entertainment staff are friendly, but very camp providing entertainment more suitable for 18 - 30's than families during the daytime. If you're just looking for a clean hotel in a good location to use as a base, and are happy to largely eat out you should certainly consider the Alenz Suite.

We had a great time at the Alenz Suite, entertainment team are fantastic, rooms could be a bit cleaner and service in restaurant was a bit slow also not enough choice on menu for half board option.

On arriving at 6.30am we could see the room was filthy. When complaining to reception was told that the cleaner did not start till 9.00am. Toaster and hot plate did not work; no light in toilet so had to shave and shower in the dark. Nine hours passed before problems were fixed. Food was good in hotel, location was perfect. Pool was excellent, facilities ok after repair.
