Would You Cruise?

Posted by Sue Anderson, 31st Jan 2012

According to cruise lines and agents the Costa Concordia's tragic accident is unlikely to have put Britons off cruising.

Recent press releases from the Passenger Shipping Association (PSA) which represents all cruise companies that operate in Britain, stated that cruising remains one of the safest holidays available, predicting that 1.73 million Britons would take a cruise in 2012.

Carnival Corp., the parent company of Costa and several other leading cruise brands admitted that cruise bookings had dropped by a percentage "in the mid-teens" in the days following the incident. The company also stated the they expect the Costa Concordia disaster "will not have a significant long-term impact on our business".

How do you feel about taking a cruise now? Had you ever considered a cruise holiday? Or are you already booked to cruise this year and happy to travel?
