Ubud is made up of 14 villages which are surrounded by terraced rice fields and a multitude of rivers. There are many historical sites to visit including the Royal Palace, temples and other popular attractions include the Ubud Monkey Forest, Bali Bird Park and Botanic Gardens. Outdoor pursuits can be found in most places offering white river rafting, eco tours and bike tour adventures.
Ubud has a wide choice of restaurants offering everything from Balinese to International dishes which would suit every taste and budget.
Ubud Market is popular with tourists who wish to shop and sells everything from wood carvings to batik shirts and sarongs and there is also a wide selection of handicraft shops in Ubud.
