Soneva Fushi Resort beckons you to embrace the culture of Soneva SLOW LIFE (Sustainable Local Organic Wellness Learning Inspiring Fun Experiences). The island is just 1.4km long by 400 metres wide and is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon amid the clear and protected waters of the UNESCO biosphere reserve.

The Diving centre offers PADI certified courses for all abilities. There are around 30 diving sites in the area and opportunities range from snorkelling in the lagoon to swimming with migrating manta rays at Hanifaru bay (June to November).

The Six Senses Spa offers a menu of massages, facials and treatment and therapies such as aromatherapy, ayurveda and yoga.

The resort features an open air cinema on the beach where the seats are of the lounger variety and the ushers come bearing cocktails and over 60 flavours of ice cream. Head up to the Observatory for a fascinating look at the clear starlit skies or pop into the glass studio to watch the artists turn recycled glass into pieces of art.

In addition, the resort can organise a variety of excursions and activities such as cultural trips to local islands, private picnics on deserted islands, fishing trips, dolphin safaris and sunset cruises onboard a traditional dhoni.

Social and dining venues include 4 restaurants, a wine cellar and the Bar(a) Bara bar where you can enjoy cocktails from the sun deck or a hammock suspended over the ocean. In addition the resort can arrange private dining experiences or in-villa dining. Mihiree Mitha is set on the beach and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a colourful array of fresh and home-made dishes. Also at the beach is By the Beach restaurant for candlelit dinners of Japanese and Korean cuisine and the main bar, By the Bar. Nine is open in the evening and is so named for using 9 methods of cooking from pit cooking to roasting and specialises in sharing platters. Fresh in the Garden is set amid the banana trees overlooking the vegetable gardens and serves Mediterranean dishes at lunch and dinner (reservation required).

Local charges may apply to some hotel facilities and others may be seasonal.
