New Emerald Cove is situated on its own private beach at Anse la Farine and backed by a forested hillside. The hotel is accessible by boat only and fronts a large coral reef which is good for snorkeling and diving.

New Emerald Cove has an outdoor swimming pool set in lush gardens right in front of the beach with views to the neighbouring islands of La Digue and Ronde Island. Activities available include beach volleyball, water sports, big game fishing and trekking.
The bar and restaurant are located by the beach and specialises in Creole cuisine and offers a good choice of international dishes.
