Needless to say, lazing on the beaches, swimming, snorkeling and diving, fishing and sailing are high on the list for daytime activities with a choice of glass bottom boat trips and catamaran cruises running from the harbour.

Things to Do

Downtown Nassau offers plenty of historic and cultural attractions including Fort Charlotte, Fort Fincastle, the Water Tower and the Queens Staircase; Christchurch Cathedral, Government House on Duke Street, Rawson Square, the 18th century Dunmore House which houses the National Museum and the Doongalik Studios Art Gallery.

There are several options for guided tours from leisurely walking to a memorable ride in a charming horse-drawn carriage.

Out and About

The capital of the Bahamas, Nassau is located on New Providence Island and linked to Paradise Island via two long foot bridges which lead out from the harbour.
