Location

Monte Mar Palace enjoys a peaceful and secluded location at Ponta Delgada on the north coast of Madeira. It is set on the cliffs with views to the Atlantic, the mountains and the UNESCO protected Laurissilva Forest. You can best enjoy the serenity and natural scenery of Madeira on a levada walk through the forest. The village of Sao Vicente with its caves and beaches is approx 7km away. Porto Moniz is approx 21km and Funchal is approx 41km away. The hotel is approx 56km away from Madeira Airport.

Facilities

Monte Mar Palace has an outdoor swimming pool and a separate pool for children, surrounded with a furnished sun terrace and lawned gardens with sea views.

Further leisure facilities and activities at the hotel include a Spa offering various massages, facial and body treatments; an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna and jacuzzi, a Turkish bath, a squash court (local charge), table tennis and billiards tables, petanque, a children's play area and a golf practice area.

Social and dining venues include a pool-side bar (May to September), 2 bars serving drinks, snacks and light meals, a lounge with cable TV and a restaurant. The restaurant offers a contemporary setting with ocean views and a variety of Portuguese and international dishes.

Rooms

Accommodation is spread over 6 floors and comprises single rooms, double/twin rooms and suites, all with a balcony and views to the ocean or the mountains. The suites have a twin bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed and a bathroom with a hydro-massage bath and separate shower.

All rooms are en-suite and feature satellite TV with DVD, direct dial telephone, a fridge, a hair dryer, a safe deposit box (local charge) and air conditioning. Bathrooms and slippers are available on request.

The all inclusive concept consists of buffet style meals served in the main restaurant, breakfast 07:30-10:00, lunch 12:30-14:30, dinner 19:00-21:30 and afternoon tea 16:00-17:00. Drinks are available from the bar 11:00-23:00.
