Hammamet and Nabul have plenty of shops with the medina and little local bars/restaurants to try out. Easy to get to by taxi. The beach is spotless and the sea is clear.

Very quiet this year, due I think, to the terrorist attack on Le Bardo in March. Everything is much cheaper this year, due to the strong pound. Things went really dead when Ramadan started. We will avoid going during this time next and we will not be put off by the despicable attack in Sousse. Great place to visit is the animal park at Friguia. Also, try the Hamilton Hotel for a drink. A lovely 660ml bottle of beer is about £1-35 and you get plied with olives, salami, crisps and sometimes small open sandwiches.

Worth visiting the old town and Yasmine Hammamet. Lots of fixed price shops in Hammamet Yasmine. If you fancy your hand at bartering visit the medina.

The Gulf of Hammamet has some picturesque beaches which are interspersed with private resort hotel beaches. At the beaches travellers will find a good choice of both motorised and non motorised watersports and diving is popular with scuba divers.
In the area of Yasmine Hammamet are wider and rougher beaches.
