Loved this resort, the harbour with it's bars and restaurants was quaint and the music square was great sitting with a drink whilst a live band / singer would entertain you. The shopping area had a wide range of shops.

In front of the spectacular Corralejo Dunes lie the long wide sands of Flag Beach; a playground for surfers worldwide and a long-term venue for international events. There is a surfing centre on the beach and opportunities for boogie-boarding, windsurfing and kitesurfing. A popular event which attracts large crowds is the 3 day International Kite festival held every November.
Things to Do
At the top of the main strip, and not far from the edge of the Dunes, is the Baku Water Park. This is currently the only aqua park on the island and is open from the beginning of April to the end of October. The water park features an array of slides, a wave pool and lazy river, a kids zone and large jacuzzi. The park hosts the Monday and Friday craft markets and there is also a Safari Park where you can race around the winding tracks in mini beach buggies.
The harbour is the place to be for boat trips, fresh fish restaurants, dive centres, surf schools, kayaking, jet ski and bike hire shops. Deep-sea fishing trips promise the thrill of trying to land big game fish, particularly, marlin and swordfish. You can also take a relaxing boat trip to the uninhabited Island of Lobos which lies just off shore.
Out and About
The El Campanario shopping centre, designed as a colonial style Canarian village complete with belltower, cobbled streets and a central square, hosts regular events including the Saturday and Sunday markets.
Amid the prestigious villa developments and approx 2.5km south of the water park, you will find the Mirador de Lobos Golf course. Whilst this is a 9 hole course its not without challenges and there is also a hire shop, a club house, a chipping green and a practice net. The 18 hole golf courses on the island are Fuerteventura Golf and Golf Club Salinas de Antigua, both at Caleta de Fuste (46km) and Las Playitas (74km).
The 30 minute ferry crossing to Playa Blanca also runs out of Corralejo harbour enabling you to easily spend a day on the neighbouring island of Lanzarote. On Lanzarote you could travel through traditional villages and the Valley of One Thousand Palms; visit the Timanfaya National Park and see the thermal activity at the Fire Mountain.
The traditional towns and villages of VillaVerde, La Oliva, Tindaya, Lajares, El Cotillo and the capital of Puerto del Rosario are all within 30km.
