Ok I have been on a lot of holidays and I have been to Agadir before. This hotel is one of the worst hotels that I've ever stayed in. I have never given a poor review before. Firstly we arrived at approx 1400, we waited at reception to get booked in, the lady had activated the room keys and just before she was going to hand over the key there was a rep behind and he signaled to the receptionist not to hand the keys over yet until he spoke to us about excursions etc so he could make money from us. So we had to wait for an extra hour so he could do his bit and entice us to some excursions etc. Then we were allowed to our room. Never had this in my life on any holidays I've been to. They don't understand that we have been out travelling for like 10 hours to get there and then we have to wait more for these guys.

Secondly, I have never been to a room where we couldn't lock the bathroom door. This wouldn't normally bother me but in this hotel there's always a way to make your stay worse, day two as changing in the room to go swimming suddenly the room door opens and the maid walked in, I was shocked and so was the maid and she swiftly left. The shocking thing about this is that the maid didn't even knock. The next day I woke up around 8:30 and went to the bathroom. I was having a shower when I suddenly heard the door open I immediately held the door as it doesn't lock and someone tried to open the door to take the towels. Yet again she didn't knock and this time I was really angry and made a complaint to the manager and they were told to knock every time.

Food was ok but 2 days of the week there was not much breakfast as the portable heaters weren't working. You could only have tea or coffee at breakfast in the restaurant. Or go to the front of the hotel near reception to get a hot drink.

Staff all very friendly/polite. Nice pool area and gardens. Food good if you're not too fussy and are prepared to eat as the locals do, always plenty of salad rice and vegetables. As is usual abroad meat and fish always has the bones/skin still on. There are some very nice restaurants just over the road as you cross to the beach from the back entrance, we went to El Toro which was excellent. Cost about £40 for 2 though so costly to eat out every night if you don't like the hotel food. Beds very soft/unsupportive so came home with back ache, think some up grading is required. Music round pool way too loud though and asked them to turn it down most days. Also the hotel really needs to do something about the seagulls nesting on the roofs, they are very loud from about 4am! Overall very good for the price we paid but would probably pay more next time and go for a 5 star as this was supposed to be 4 star but I would rate it a 3 as would most of the other guests we spoke to.

Lovely hotel with excellent grounds and very clean. The main restaurant overlooked the pool area and was a lovely place for a relaxing breakfast as the sun came up. Food was varied and enjoyable. Pool although only heated by the sun, which made it quite cold in March, was a lovely tiered area with plenty of beds.

Reception not too good, lack of information. Annoyed with On The Beach rep. who pestered us the first minute we arrived and succeeded in messing up our registration. The food was OK, cleanliness excellent.

This was our 5th time in Agadir and 3rd at this hotel. We noticed a lot of improvements in all since our last trip some 8 years ago. The hotel has had alterations which have enhanced its appeal. Friendly staff throughout, from the security on the doors to the cleaning staff and everyone in-between. Our room was cleaned daily, waiting staff at mealtimes were always there to help. Food varied daily and tasty. The Animation team were wonderful. Full of energy and enthusiasm always available to chat with. The only down side was the hotel reps. They always seemed to be arguing with each other and in front of the guests. One in particular would bad-mouth the other reps, animation team, hotel to the guests. Not very professional.

Hotel very clean but animation team did nothing. Food was good and drinks very generous. Location brilliant for beach and walks to shops. I don't like cats and they were allowed in restaurant, that's the only reason won't go back to that hotel but will go back to Agadir.
