Marigot Bay has a small sandy beach, planted with palm trees with views over the yacht harbour and the green hills and mangroves that frame the bay. The waters are calm and water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling and hobie-cat sailing are available.

Things to Do

There are plenty of activities available from Marigot Bay on both land and water. Take a boat trip around the coast, dolphin spotting or whale-watching and see magnificent scenery including the famous Piton peaks or; charter a yacht and find an isolated beach to call your own. Go on a jeep safari through old plantations and fishing villages or head into the lush rainforests for a ziplining adventure and hiking amid the tropical birds and vegetation.

In Marigot Bay itself, you might want to just relax and enjoy the exclusive atmosphere, soak up the sun in the tranquil waters of the bay, watch the birds and wildlife in the mangroves and the boats coming in and out of the harbour; take a romantic evening meal in one of the secluded restaurants and listen to the sounds of crickets, tree frogs, jazz and caribbean rhythms.

Out and About

The Marina Village Shopping Centre in the heart of the bay has duty free stores and boutiques as well as bars, eateries and everyday essentials such as banking, a supermarket and a bakery. There is a further selection of cafes and restaurants dotted around the bay to which the water taxis or the complimentary ferry service provide easy access.

In the capital of Castries (13km) you can pick up fresh produce and local handcrafted items at the markets or, for duty free purchases, head for La Place Carenage or Pointe Seraphine shopping mall at the cruise port.

Nearby Attractions

In the south of the island, see the sulphur springs in the drive-in volcano; explore the charming and historic town of Soufriere and visit the nearby Diamond Botanical Gardens where you can relax in the mineral baths and see the botanical gardens and picturesque waterfall.

In the north of the island, visit the Bonne Terre Tropical Gardens near Rodney Bay, explore the shops and restaurants at Rodney Bay Village, stroll around the Marina and maybe try your luck at the Casino. Enjoy countryside walks, fantastic views and historic tales at the former army base and national park on Pigeon Island.
