St. James, Barbados
Due to it's sheltered location, the west coast of Barbados is home to some of the best beaches on the island and also boasts many fantastic hotels. There are plenty of things to do including a visit to what is considered to be one of the most luxurious golf courses in Barbados.
The west coast is lined with great beaches and on the St James stretch of coast you can enjoy the watersports at Mullins Beach and Colony Club Beach; relax on the pristine sands at Gibbs Beach and Reeds Bay, go snorkelling at Paynes Beach and swimming at Mahogany bay.

Golf courses feature high on the list of leisure attractions at St James, which is also home to the Barbados Polo Club.
A popular visitor attraction is the Folkestone Marine Park and ideal for children to learn to snorkel.

There are a number of natural and wildlife attractions in easy reach of St James. You could take a guided hike along the Arbib Nature and Heritage Trail, get up close with the Barbados Green Monkeys and other animals at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, enjoy breathtaking views from the neighbouring Farley Hill National Park and explore the tropical forest at Turners Hall Woods.
